Promoting events

Orienteering is a small sport, so we need to attract new runners. One of the best ways is simply showing what it’s all about. Amager Orienteering Club in Copenhagen, Denmark uses Headcam Orienteering as part of their promotional video for upcoming events.

They focus on making short, fun and inspirational videos – like this one for the AMOK Metr-O Cup which attracts 2-300 runners for four events in May every Spring.

Teaching Orienteering

New orienteers need help learning the basic skills. You can use your headcam-recordings as the source for real-life problems from the forest. Here’s an example of “contouring”:
